Recently, it was learned from PetroChina that as of June 28 this year, PetroChina has continuously transported 13.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Hong Kong through the second line of the West–East Gas Pipeline, which has effectively guaranteed the energy supply of Hong Kong.
Gas supply to Hong Kong is an important measure to ensure the energy supply of Hong Kong, improve the atmospheric environment of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, and improve the quality of life of Hong Kong residents. It is of great significance to support Hong Kong to better integrate into the overall national development.
In order to do a good job in gas supply service management and meet the gas demand of Hong Kong, PetroChina Guangdong Branch has established a mutual supply and mutual guarantee cooperation mechanism with Sinopec (6.480, -0.05, -0.77%), CNOOC (18.880, 0.26, 1.40%) and other enterprises, which has enriched the natural gas supply channels in Guangdong Province and improved the capacity of natural gas supply guarantee. At the same time, China Petroleum Guangdong Branch has established a long-term mechanism for regular communication with international companies and other enterprises, helping to solve daily operational problems of the Hong Kong branch line in a timely manner.
