On May 30th, Shenzhou XVI went to the sky and explored the underground palace at a depth of ten thousand meters. At 11:46, China's first Wanmike exploration well, China Petroleum Deep Earth Taco 1 Well, sounded its whistle and began drilling in the Taklamakan Desert of Xinjiang, marking China's entry into the forefront of the world's deep exploration technology series.
This well is designed with a depth of 11100 meters and an estimated drilling period of 457 days. It shoulders two major missions of scientific exploration and oil and gas discovery, aiming to deeply explore the internal structure and evolution laws of the Earth, and improve the theory of deep oil and gas reservoir formation at 10000 meters.
60% of the world's newly added oil and gas reserves come from deep formations, while 83% of China's deep oil and gas reserves still need to be explored and developed. The Tarim Basin, where the well is located, is the largest deep oil and gas accumulation area in China. Marching deeper into the Earth has become the only way for the oil front to ensure national energy security.
"One deep zone is extremely difficult." The drilling rig can continuously lift a maximum hook load of 900 tons, easily lifting two fully loaded Boeing 747-8 aircraft, effectively solving the high load problem caused by over 1200 drill pipes. Innovative research and development of high-performance PDC drill bits and a 220 degree Celsius ultra-high temperature working fluid system have solved the technical problem of "unable to drill" at extreme temperatures. In the process of continuously exploring the limits of the deep earth, we are moving from breakthroughs in points to improving system capabilities. Deep Taco 1 well has achieved breakthroughs in multiple fields such as drilling technology, equipment manufacturing, engineering materials, etc., "said Wang Chunsheng, the chief technical expert of Tarim Oilfield.
A well with a depth exceeding 6000 meters is called an ultra deep well. From drilling the first ultra deep well to breaking the 8000 meter mark, it has been more than 40 years in China; It took China 17 years to move from 8000 meters to 10000 meters.
At 0 meters, 3 meters, 5 meters... in the driller's room, closely monitoring the drilling parameters on the operation screen, the driller of the Western Drilling 120001 drilling team, Nanhai Sheng, spoke firmly: "We have confidence in delivering another high-quality ultra deep well to the country." As of now, the Tarim Oilfield has drilled a total of 95 wells with depths of 8000 meters or more.
